Clear vision in sunny, cloudy, and rainy conditions.
Reduces glare and diffuse reflection.
Multi-functional sunglasses with newly-developed polarized and high-contrast lenses.
OWLMILS sunglasses use “ Polarized + High-Contrasts Lens PolaSky. ”
The human eye can perceive visible light in wavelengths ranging from 380nm to 780nm. By cutting specific
wavelengths (colors) from reaching our eyes, we can see more clearly by increasing color contrast and
reducing glare.
High-contrast lenses also reduce diffuse reflection for clearer vision.
These all-weather lenses can be worn from morning to evening, even on cloudy or rainy days.
The lenses have a natural tint and high contrast for the clearest vision. Highly recommended for
people who like to feel a little dark when wearing sunglasses!
"Polarized lenses have a special structure which filters excess light without increasing the density
of the lenses themselves. They also block harmful ultraviolet light, making them excellent lenses to
protect and maintain the health of your eyes.
These photos shows the difference in clarity between normal lenses versus the same polarized lenses
we use in our products. Whether you're driving or looking at the surface of the water when fishing,
these lenses provide much clearer vision."
Our lenses are made from a high-performance polycarbonate material.
This material has the following three characteristics:
High transparency, with a visible light transmittance of 80-90% [※1], classifying it as a
highly transparent material.
(transparency comparison – polycarbonate: 86%, glass: 92%)
[※1] This is the visible light transmittance of the material in its clear state. Normal polarized lenses have a visible light transmittance of around 20%, but the lenses “Earth Green” and “Purple Gray” used by OWLMILS have a visible light transmittance of 31-32%. This ensures clear visibility even in cloudy weather.
Superior weather resistance, suitable for outdoor use. Especially suitable for harsh environments such as while mountain climbing. Won’t crack or break easily, even if struck by small stones, thus preventing possible injury.
The modern design feature emblematic of this product is the carabiner temple tip (the part that
touches the ear).
You can easily attach and detach the sunglass cord to this modern part. Attach the included
paracord [※2] so you can safely hang the sunglasses around your neck in dark places or when
they're not necessary.
[※2] Paracord
Officially named 'parachute cord,' paracord is a lightweight nylon rope originally used as
parachute suspension lines. It is strong, robust, and reliable, and is thus used in many outdoor
scenes and activities.
This sunglasses case is made of strong and light ballistic nylon [※3], and can hold both sunglasses as well as cards. Comes with a sacoche bag cord made of paracord.
Case size (design specifications): 71.2mm (length) x 175mm (width) x 34.6mm (thickness)
[※3] Ballistic nylon
An extremely strong, waterproof fiber developed for military use by the U.S. company DuPont. It
is five times stronger than ordinary nylon. Also used in bulletproof vests.
